Fragrant Waters from Steam Distillation |
Hydrosols
are the fragrant waters from the steam distillation process
of plants which produces essential oils. Unlike commercial
steam distillation, these hydrosols and oils are gently and
respectfully revealed from a slow distillation without the
added use of pressure, calling the plant spirit and vital
energetic chemistry to remain within them. Micro-drops of
essential oil remain in the water after distillation, imparting
a gentle yet substantial aroma and also containing the same
therapeutic components as its corresponding essential oil
or herb. The benefit with our pure, organic hydrosols, in
addition to the combination of aromatherapy and herbal therapy,
is that they can be directly applied to the skin as spray
mists, splashes, compresses or soaks either straight or diluted
with purified water, Aloe Vera, seaweed extracts, or other
liquids. They can also be used in creams and lotions, as after
shaves, home or house-plant mists, in steam irons for scenting
linens, and as personal natural skin toners and perfumes. |
